EDUCATION

Phuket offers a wide choice of education options. There is a selection of quality Thai schools catering to ages from kindergarten through to 16 year olds. And there are a number of technical colleges for vocational study and also the Prince of Songkhla University. All classes are conducted in Thai language.

There are also a number of private International schools on Phuket offering different teaching styles, syllabuses and varying standards of facilities. Dulwich International College is Phuket’s largest facility, and follows the English education system, offering English and international curricula. It is located in the middle of the island, opposite the Phuket Boat Lagoon. On a private campus, the school is affiliated with the famous Dulwich College in England and has superb teaching and sport facilities open for 18 months to 18 year olds. Dulwich is the only international school offering both day and boarding facilities.

Following an American syllabus and operating a performance-based education system, QSI International School of Phuket offers education from nursery through secondary education. Smaller in student number and campus size, this school offers an alternative syllabus and teaching style and is part of the international school group QSI. It is located 10 minutes south of the Phuket Boat Lagoon on the Bypass road.

There are also a number of smaller independent schools catering to international students on the island, including a Montessori international school, located in Rawai in the south of the island, and Greenhouse International Preschool near the Boat Lagoon.

For details of individual establishments please contact them direct.
